3 Reasons Why Wu Yi Will Help You Lose Weight

by Caitlin Ryan

Every awards season, we have to watch those gorgeous celebrities on the red carpet. You may dream about having that celebrity body, but maybe you think it is not possible. You may not be able to afford their expensive clothing and jewelry, but you can have a fabulous body. You just need to know their secrets to perfect body success!

The Wu Yi Tea Company offers a series of products that use this amazing tea that gives a weight loss edge. Wu Yi tea is oolong tea that is named for the Chinese Wu Yi mountain range where it grows. It has been said that tea is the ancient Chinese slimming secret. Why? How does tea help you lose weight?

Fat metabolism is the rate at which fat is burned. A powerful catechin in Wu Yi (also called oolong) tea called EGCG has been studied and proven to increase fat metabolism, which will help you lose weight faster and look like you belong on the red carpet that much sooner.

You can also increase the amount of time fat is burned after exercise by drinking Wu Yi tea prior to exercising. It also counts as water, so you will be hydrated as well!

You might have a sluggish metabolism because of yo-yo dieting over the years or eating a lot of refined carbohydrates. Tea will give you a slimming edge because it will speed up your sluggish metabolism and help you develop a sleek figure.

Exercise is important in weight loss, but sometimes we just cannot find that energy we need to get to the gym or face the treadmill. Oolong tea can improve your energy and help you achieve that toned, celebrity look.

Oolong tea contains caffeine which is known to increase energy. The good news is that it also contains L-theanine which counteracts the jittery effect that caffeine produces. A lot of people find that tea is a great replacement for coffee because although all tea contains caffeine, tea also soothes and calms the mind.

This factor in tea is also great for managing the stress that dieting causes and the emotional eating that often occurs and sabotages your weight loss efforts. You will not be tempted to indulge because of anxiety or nervousness.

Finally, Wu Yi tea is able to block fat. We should not eat a lot of saturated or trans fats, but if you indulge occasionally, Wu Yi tea will undo some of that damage by modestly blocking fat without the ill effects of other fat blockers.

Strong fat blockers (Alli) can cause some pretty ugly side effects such as excessive bowel movements. Wu Yi tea is a mild fat blocker so you do not have to worry about tummy aches and running to the bathroom as you do with Alli!

The Fantastic and Numerous Health Benefits of Green Tea!

by Caitlin Ryan

I am really excited to share one of my favorite health secrets so that you all can begin to benefit from this wonderful, easy and amazing health tip! I have been drinking green tea for its wonderful benefits to my health for years now. I also drink other teas such as oolong, wu yi and wu long. So, if you are ready to improve your health, fight premature aging, drop some weight and increase your energy levels, then read on!

Green tea and green tea extract have been proven to have a number of health benefits such as cancer prevention, weight loss and fighting premature aging. Though green tea has been the focus, wu yi, wu long and oolong teas are also highly beneficial because they contain some of the same components that make green tea so beneficial!

Why? Tea is filled with highly powerful antioxidants called catechins. EGCG has been studied and found to aid in weight loss by blocking starch, burning fat and increasing metabolism. This is why green tea and other teas are so wonderful for weight loss!

Free radicals damage tissue at the cellular level and antioxidants are capable of fighting free radicals and repairing the damage. Because green tea (and wu yi tea) are full of antioxidants, it promotes good health at the cellular level. This means that your skin will be healthier and more beautiful, your will have better brain function such as concentration and memory AND you will protect your body and help prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer.

When I learned of all these remarkable health benefits of green tea and wu yi tea, I immediately switched my iced black tea with these more beneficial teas. Wu yi is the mildest flavored of the bunch and I recommend trying it first.

If you would like a bit more flavor in your tea, you can squeeze lemon or add fruity herbal teas. I love my iced green or wu yi tea with blueberry herbal tea. Mango or peach are also lovely herbal additions! Do not add calories, though. Make sure that the tea is in fact natural, herbal and zero calories or you will quickly turn something lovely into a sugary mess!

Does coffee every make you jittery or anxious? I never thought it would and I used to drink loads of it. Then I started experiencing anxiety for no apparent reasons and decided it must be my morning coffee habit. I decided to further benefit from the health benefits of green tea or wu yi tea and switched to hot tea in the morning as well as my iced brew throughout the day. I even add a caramel truffle herbal tea that I found to give the tea a rich flavor like coffee.

You may be wondering why tea does not produce the jittery effects that coffee does because of course tea contains caffeine. Well, among all the other healthy components of tea, it also contains L-theanine. L-theanine makes the brain release serotonin, which produces a calming feeling in the body. So, while you get the wake-up you need in the morning, you do not have the anxiety that comes with coffee.

Tea should be organic and 100% pure or it will not be as effective.
